I’d rather not resubmit it since it would be silly to have two copies of the same post floating around… but I thought it might be relevant if you wanted to reblog it. Just pointing out that there’s too much hate in the fandom for the evolutionary line in general, and not all of it is going toward the male gardevoirs.

Male Gardevoir Awareness Week!!!
“MALE GARDEVOIR AWARENESS WEEK”
From April 17th to April 23rd
We are sick and tired of people hating on Male Gardevoir for many reasons. Some people are just plain ignorant, and don’t actually realize that the Gardevoir Male / Female ratio is EXACTLY 50%. Even! Half Female, HALF MALE. There are JUST as many Male Gardevoir as Female ones, if you didn’t catch that.
And yet, some people insist that this cannot be. Why?
Again, some of it is simply out of ignorance. They don’t know. And some of these people, when presented with the facts, can maturely say “Oh. Well now I know” and move on.
However, the vast majority of people who hate on the Male population of this pokemon seem to do it for one of two reasons.
One: They obsess over the sexualization of Female Gardevoir around the internet. We’ll be honest. Yeah. Gardevoir can be pretty cute. That’s all fine and well. The lusting after the Female gendered Gardevoir ISN’T the problem. It’s the fact that, to these people, the thought that a male Gardevoir can look JUST as cute, JUST as sexy, yet not match their predefined notions of what passes for a “Manly” pokemon both confuses them and offends them. Which brings us to…
Two: A male Gardevoir looks identical to a female one to humans. There’s no muscular definition to their bodies. no obvious “MALE” ness that sets them apart from the females. Do you see what We’re trying to say? These are the type of people who think men have to look and act a certain way, or they’re disgusting. Or they should be ignored. Or even KILLED. God forbid they ever come across an young, effeminate boy, just happy being the person he is. How they would tear that young man down. Maybe they would have the decency to keep their mouth shut, but just the fact that they would, and COULD think such horrible, discriminate thoughts based on how someone LOOKS is vile, putrid, and inhumane behavior that needs to be phased out of existence.
This isn’t just about preference. Some people out there will say “You’re being dramatic, it’s just a game. It’s just a pokemon.” Yes, and no. it IS just a game. it IS, JUST a Pokemon. but what it ALSO is, is something that shows exactly what type of person someone is. If you’re the type of person who values equality, and loves everyone for who they are, regardless of their lifestyle, or how they look, then you’re most likely someone who likes both male and female Gardevoir. If you’re one of those stupid, childish, angry people, who hate people who’s lives don’t coincide with what you think is right and wrong and for no other reason, it’s likely you hate male gardevoir. These are things and thoughts people usually keep PRIVATE. but for some reason, BECAUSE it’s “Just a game” people are comfortable with showing everyone just how biased and hateful they truly are as a person.
Male Gardevoir Exist. They are equal in number and importance to Female Gardevoir. Nintendo will never change that.
